I could not possibly be more stoked to invade Southern California next week, February 10th-12th, for One Love Cali Reggae Fest! It’s being held on The Queen Mary in Long Beach, and features some of the biggest reggae artists/bands on Earth. Check out this stacked lineup:
Shows I Go To has a lot of love for many of these artists. Our own Trevor Bosmans covered 311 here and went to Nola for 311 Day 2016 here! 311 has been a favorite of mine for about 22 years now, and I have great memories over that span of time of seeing them play songs from their monstrous catalog.
Passafire, a band that’s grown to be a favorite of mine over the last few years, and Chronixx (whom I wrote about last year when they played Reggae On the Block 3 here in Orlando) are also playing OLCRF!
Friends of mine, Orlando’s very own Kash’d Out, are on the bill as part of their current nationwide tour. They’re labelmates with The Movement and Ballyhoo!, so keep an ear out for them on Saturday!
To top it all off, The Wailers were just added to the bill! They will be playing Bob Marley’s historic compilation, Legend, live in its entirety! I was fortunate to see them here in December and interview most of the band. The Wailers Interview Here.
After an event of this caliber, I’m sure I’ll have plenty to share. See you on the other side!
