Suwannee Spring Reunion is back at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park for another year of some of the best vibes on the planet and a lineup to match. Let’s take a look at the weekend so you can plan your trip accordingly.
The weekend kicks off with Jon Stickley Trio’s incredible blend of bluegrass, jazz, hip hop, rock, and so much more is always a favorite of the Suwannee crowd. There may be no better way to start off a festival than with the trio’s high octane set.
Thursday also brings Grass is Dead, a marriage of two time-honored cousins- bluegrass and the Grateful Dead.
Friday the festival swings into high gear. Friend of Shows I Go To and The Marinade with Jason Earle, Verlon Thompson plays a set of his heart-warming stories. Frequent Thompson collaborator Shawn Camp has a set, and the night is punctuated by the Larry Keel Experience, Amy (daughter of Levon) Helm, and David Bromberg Quintet. Also, do not miss Billy Strings fresh off his outstanding set at Gasparilla Music Festival.
Saturday welcomes a bunch of the same talent as Friday with some notable exceptions, especially at the top of the bill. Be sure to start your day with Camp and Thompson doing Guy Clark songs. Then, new Grammy-winners The Infamous Stringdusters and Suwannee favorites Donna the Buffalo headline a big night.
If you did not catch Rev. Jeff Mosier on Friday, now is the time. The legendary Jim Lauderdale also makes his first appearance of the weekend.
The Sunday comedown features the Stringdusters and Donna once again, as well as Mosier, Lauderdale, Thompson, and Nikki Talley. The opportunity to see some of the best roots musicians in the world playing multiple sets in one of the most magical venues in the country is one we have come to expect from Suwannee Spring Reunion.
