Come one, come all to 2018 Purple Hatters Ball, June 1 & 2 at the Spirit of Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, FL! Headlining this years Ball are Lettuce, Spafford, and Breaking Biscuits. Lettuce hails from Boston, Mass. and is easily the best funk band in the jam scene today. These guys have talent in every corner of the stage and they continue to impress with an ever evolving sound that keeps crowds hooked all set long. Spafford is a red hot jam band from Prescott, Arizona. Since 2009 Spafford has excelled in with a very versatile sound that seems to have a little something for everyone. Special guest performance is Breaking Biscuits featuring Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein from The Disco Biscuits, and Adam Deitch and Borham Lee of Break Science. The experimental band has only played a handful of shows, and this marks their first performance in the southeast!

Music fans will also get to enjoy The Heavy Pets, who are a Florida based band promoting their newest album, Strawberry Mansion. Steel guitar superstar Roosevelt Collier and his band are sure to impress and Toubab Krewe always bring a ton of energy to their shows.

Visitors to the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida are sure to splash and dance their way to a funky good time. PHB is an awesome little festival in a big park. Here you can enjoy the amphitheater stage with room to dance, or go down to the river and boogie with your friends in the cool water while listening to great music. I highly recommend camping on river road for this festival. Friday night’s big show is Spafford, while Saturday features the one and only, Lettuce. Check out the schedule below:

About The Rachel Morningstar Foundation:

The Rachel Morningstar Foundation exists to help the public understand the benefit of guidelines for law enforcement’s use of confidential informants (CIs). Currently each state, county, city, college campus or law enforcement agency sets their own standards, laws or guidelines as it relates to recruiting and using CIs. The efforts of this foundation are dedicated to the memory of Rachel Morningstar Hoffman (December 17, 1984 – May 7, 2008) a 23-year-old Florida State University graduate. She was murdered while acting as a police informant during a drug sting that started on May 7, 2008. The first of its kind in the U.S., Rachel’s Law, a Florida law that went into effect on July 1, 2009, established new guidelines for law enforcement when dealing with confidential informants.
