On October 21, 2015 Barley and Vine Biergarten is celebrating the day Marty, Doc, and Jennifer went to the future (in Back to the Future Part II). We’re commemorating this special day with Movie Screenings (including the original cartoons), a Costume Contest (with prizes), Food Inspired by the Films (including Jailbird Cakes from The Wandering Wonton), a Special Tribute Beer — Funky Buddha Brewery‘s Doc Brown Ale anyone? — and so much more! PLUS, we are taking steps to make a difference in the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s, a terrible disease in which sufferers experience a great deal of pain, by making donating to the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. We will be accepting cash donations throughout the event.*Â

Benji’s Backstory:
Last month I was hit by a car on my motorcycle which broke my collarbone in six places. Aside from my motorcycle being totalled, I got a some new additions to my shoulder — two brand new titanium plates and nine shiny screws (images below). After surgery, I found myself in a tremendous amount of pain, which led me to thinking about all those who suffer with pain and discomfort every single day of their lives. I decided to focus my energy on a positive and make an effort to help others in pain.
I encourage you to please make a donation at our event to this cause.
Why the Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research?
October 21, 2015 is the day I have been anticipating most for my entire life. When I was just a boy my concerns weren’t on what day I’d graduate high school, get married, or turn 21. I simply wanted to know where I’d be on October 21, 2015, the day Marty, Doc, and Jennifer went to the future. Now I know: I’m going to help him save it!
Please be my guest for a celebration of the most important cultural influence of my youth.
– Benji
