They are returning to Florida next week to show us more love after performing one of the most phenomenal sets at the Suwannee Hulaween festival a few months ago at the magical Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. In case you missed the big announcement this week, Papadosio will be at Bonnaroo this year! With the release of their recent album, Extras in a Movie, the band offers an even broader range of possibilities with an upgraded sound palette and intricate new song compositions. With their latest work, they’ve moved towards a more organic sound and have included more vocals to their music than they would normally (check out this in-depth review). There is definitely an essence of the fall and winter seasons that is captured with the feeling of the album too.
Papadosio put on a spectacular show and they deliver tons of powerful, positive vibes. These masters of jamtronica captivate your senses from the start of their show to the very end with spontaneous musical ideas created along the way. They tend to patch together a seamless collage of extended jams that weave in and out of one another. They make magic happen with their improvisational energy flowing to a dancing crowd. The Mantras are a band I’ve only recently found out about and haven’t yet seen a show or got to explore their music thoroughly, so I’m extra excited to catch their set, which I’m sure will leave me an instant fan.
