TICKET GIVEAWAY: MISFITS | Venue 578 (Formally Firestone Live) | Coming December 3 2014

When I found out about Misfits playing Venue 578, the first question I asked was “Do they even have any original members still”? The band has gone through numerous lineup changes over the years but Bassist/Vocalist Jerry Only has been the “Only” consistent member of the Misfits since their inception in 1977.  The current lineup also features Dez Cadena (Black Flag) on guitar and Eric “Chupachabra” Arce (Murphy’s Law) on drums.  This latest incarnation of Misfits recorded a new album in 2011 called The Devil’s Rain which is the band’s first album of new material in over a decade. They have been touring non-stopped playing a ton of old Misfits songs from the Danzig era as well as some new material.

Their original lineup featuring Glenn Danzig only released one album while they were together but they went on to inspire numerous bands. Anthrax, Slayer and even Guns N’ Roses all site Misfits as one of their main influences. It will be great to hear some of these classic songs live for the first time.
