Pink Talking Fish, the killer fusion band that pays tribute to the music of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish, played a few shows in Central Florida six months ago back in December, so it’s about time for them to come visit again. This run of Florida shows includes stops at The Plaza Live in Orlando on Thursday, May 19th, then at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, May 20th, and lastly at State Theatre in St. Petersburg on Saturday, May 21st, before heading up to Pennsylvania for a show the next day, followed by a slew of northeast shows heading into summertime. Pink Talking Fish features Eric Gould on bass, Richard James on keyboards, Zack Burwick on drums, and Dave Brunyak on guitar. This is a band created by musicians who love the music of these acts. It’s purpose is to heighten people’s passion for this music by creating something fresh and exciting for fans. Joining them for the Florida shows are local Florida favorites, The Heavy Pets, who were also on the bill last year. At last year’s show, The Heavy Pets performed as The Walrus and played a Beatles tribute set, which you can watch from the Orlando show below in it’s entirety thanks to The Sober Goat! This time around, I think we can expect a traditional Pets set full of original music with maybe a random cover or three.
