“Finally!” I thought after seeing the lineup for “The Big Orlando” festival coming Sunday, December 7 2014 to Central Florida Fairgrounds. This inaugural year’s lineup includes Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Young The Giant, Dirty Heads, J. Roddy Walston & The Business, Bear Hands, Big Data, Twin Atlantic, Islander, one mystery guest (who we suspect might be Alt J), and more TBA according to The Big Orlando website.

We’re no strangers to annual Florida music festivals put on by local radio stations like 97X’s “Next Big Thing” festival in Tampa and X102.9’s “Big Ticket” festival in Jacksonville. Orlando has often prayed to receive many of the bands on those bills while they’re passing through and we normally get most of them, presented in a more intimate form like a club show. But now, from the kind folks at Orlando’s New Alternative radio station X107.3, we are presented with “The Big Orlando” festival and Orlandoans gets all of those bands at once!

Pre-Sale General Admission tickets cost $34.50 and go On Sale Friday September 19 at 10:00 am EST and end Sunday September 21 at 11:59pm.

General Admission tickets officially go on sale to the general public on Monday September 22 at 12:00 am EST and will cost $39.50

They are offering Military Discounts (available during pre-sale), General Admission 4 packs for $119, and VIP packages (available during pre-sale) for $89.50 which include access to a VIP lounge area featuring a dedicated bar, beverage and food service, premium viewing of the Main Stage, a seated area with shade for dining and drinking, and of course private restroom facilities.

All ticket prices are plus service fees and tax.

Central Florida Fairgrounds are located at: 4603 West Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32803. The gates open at 11:00 AM on day of show.

Judging by my past years of attending Warped Tour at Central Florida Fairgrounds, it is unlikely this festival will sell out but I would get my tickets NOW, because this is a fucking beautiful lineup!
