This diva and her band have spent the last year touring relentlessly supporting their independent 2015 release — Heavy Hearts, Hard Fists — as well as the debut album Here’s Nikki Hill. Their energy has no filter and the live show is explosive with pure rock and soul mixed with the honesty and passion of the blues. Prepare yourself for a whiplash moment as Nikki Hill and her band play The Social in Orlando this Saturday, February 20th (WIN TICKETS BELOW).

Hill’s booming voice, coupled with the cranked volume of her backing band, is sure to shock your soul and move your feet. Think of AC/DC mixed with The Staple Singers, or Tina Turner and Little Richard with a dash of James Brown or Chuck Berry. Her band’s roaring boogie gives her the self-assured swagger to preach some rasp, fiery, feel good rock & roll gospel while sporting her stylish, quasi-retro look. Whether it’s rhythm and blues, rockabilly shouts, rebel punk, southern blues or even Sunday morning gospel, if there’s roots involved, she’s got it covered.

And then there’s this Rod Stewart cover “Sweet Little Rock and Roller” because that’s just what this gal is!

And as previously mentioned, there’s an AC/DC vibe going on, so here’s a performance of her covering “Whole Lotta Rosie.”
