Gogol Bordello sings the theme song for Orlando!
Start wearing purple, wearing purple!”
We are. This song has turned to a healing sense of nostalgia.
The last time I saw Gogol Bordello at The Beacham was very heavy. My home was shot in the heart and we didn’t even know it was just the beginning of a deep longing pain.
Tonight, was the exhale we’ve all patiently waited for.
Gogol Bordello played to a nearly sold-out room of purple-loving Orlando smiles. This is one of the most entertaining live bands on the circuit today. I watched them play one of their two sold-out nights to 3,000 NYC fans at Terminal 5 a few years ago. Gogol Bordello are truly magical.
Their lead singer, Eugene Hütz, has the perfect persona to rule a stage. They even based a character in one of my favorite movies on him, Wristcutters: A Love Story. I’ve never met a Eugene I didn’t like, see Snowden.
How would you describe Gogol Bordello.”
Gypsy-Punk. You have to see it!
