FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENT: AURA Music & Arts Festival | Festival Schedule Inside! |Live Oak, FL | March 3-5, 2016

The 7th annual AURA Music and Arts Festival will be held in less than two weeks on the weekend of March 3-5 (spring break, woooo!) at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. This funky electronic jam festival is quickly becoming one of the best festivals in the Southeast and Florida, and is definitely giving the new Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival a good run for its money, which is being held the same weekend in south Florida.

Headliners at AURA this year include The Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, Snarky Puppy, ALO, The New Deal and The Werks. There’s also a silent disco so you can dance to your favorite DJs, or you can stand on the perimeter and watch everyone dance to silence– either one is a lot of fun!

Florida’s own The Heavy Pets are doing a special set which will tribute music from the 1980’s and will feature special guests Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman (of Trey Anastasio Band). This stellar lineup also includes Turkuaz, Particle, The Main Squeeze, American Babies, Mike Dillon Band, The Bright Light Social Hour, and Pink Talking Fish (tribute band to Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish).

The bottom of the lineup includes a plethora of top up-and-coming acts such as Jimkata, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, NUNCHUCK (Chuck Jones and Scott Zwang of Dopapod, Mike Dillon, and Craig Brodhead of Turkuaz), a live band set from Bedside, The Fritz, ROAR! (Carly Meyers’ band, formerly Yoj9imbo), and many many more. Florida locals Greenhouse Lounge, Displace, The Resolvers, and Lucky Costello have made their way back on the lineup this year (this will be Greenhouse Lounge’s last show before they go on hiatus), while other Florida locals gracing the bill for the first time are Crazy Fingers (Grateful Dead tribute band) and Electric Kif.

There are many many more music options to consider as this festival features three dozen bands and 17 DJs. Check out the music schedules for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

General admission tickets for the 3-day event are currently priced at $169. Or you can upgrade to the VIP experience which includes discounted beverages, VIP bathrooms, VIP lounges/bars in concert area, gift bag including poster, t-shirt, laminate, etc.), VIP happy hour with special live performance, surprise giveaways and daily meet & greets with select artise. VIP 3-day passes are currently priced at $275 (without meals) and $350 (with meals).
