Los Angeles based indie folk rockers Lord Huron are coming to The Ritz Ybor on Thursday, June 16th. Enter the contest below to WIN 2 TICKETS!

Their debut album, Lonesome Dreams, was released in 2012. Following the release of the album the group appeared on The Tonight Show and their song “Ends of the Earth” was featured in the series finale of the television series Community. The band’s name was inspired by Lake Huron, the lake which band founder Ben Schneider grew up visiting, where he would spend evenings playing music around the campfire. Lord Huron’s album Strange Trails was released in April 2015.

Instead of confessional ballads or autobiographical anthems, singer frontman Ben Schneider writes songs about made-up villains and heroines, often rooted in Western lore, and finds ways to incorporate his artistic background. The heartfelt twang of Schneider’s voice coupled with the reflective yearning of his lyrics and the synergy of the music washing over the reverb indicate the presence of a band that is clearly on the rise.
