Everyone I meet seems to have a particular memory attached to a Pixies song. A certain lyric, which transports them to a different time in their life where a former skin was shed.

After a hiatus, successful comeback, and Kim Deal leaving the original lineup, we were due for some good news.
What had happened, of course we got back together in 2004, which I couldn’t believe that, and we toured from 2004 to 2011. Seven years went by and after the seven-year mark, in 2011, we all realized, “Wait a minute. Hold on.” We’d been touring with our old music longer than we were initially a band back in the late ’80s and early ’90s. That was freaky to us…..There was nothing scary because we had already gotten through the scary part, so Head Carrier was a breeze and it was a lot easier to write than Indie Cindy. Much easier all the way around, especially since we had seven weeks of pre-production on it. It was like having a luxury to actually know these songs and learn them before going into the studio.”

The Wombats will be joining the Pixies & Weezer all the way from Liverpool all Summer.
