One of the most diverse musicians of the past 50 years, Todd Rundgren has been playing, recording, and producing on the forefront of music his entire career.  Todd made it big in the 1970s, with his hit record Something/Anything? LP, and its major hit, “Hello, It’s Me.” He also was the brains behind the band Utopia. Todd has backed all of this up with production on such amazing albums as Straight Up by Badfinger, Bat Out of Hell by Meatloaf, and We’re An American Band by Grand Funk Railroad. Even with all that, the man has found the ability to continue to create records, and recently released Global, which is what leads us to his “Global Tour,” which is going to be here at The Plaza Live on Sunday, August 23rd (WIN TICKETS BELOW)!

Afterwards, Todd Rundgren decided to pull a David Bowie, and reinvent himself (with the help of substances 😉 ), and he released a slew of Woodstock-esque albums, such as A Wizard, a True Star in 1973, which led to the creation of his backing band Utopia, in a progressive rock style of music. Rundgren’s fascination with computers and video equipment helped keep him relevant throughout the ’70s and into the ’80s and ’90s, where his song “Time Heals,” was the 8th song ever played on MTV. Most recently, Todd Rundgren released Global in 2015, a rock/electronic affair, and is continuing to go strong with a full US Tour that promises to be a fantastic experience.
