The only thing that might bum you out about spending all your time in rock bars–besides spending all your time in rock bars–could be the fact that a majority of bands are comprised of all dudes. Don’t get me wrong, most dudes in bands are cool (at a glance). But that doesn’t make me any less hetero (sorry to those of you who thought I was about to announce something). 😉 On any given night of the week your favorite smelly rock bar is filled with a bunch of dudes, drinking, plotting, and scheming about ways to meet women … and they can be ALOT. But both Hop Along and Speedy Ortiz are both led by talented, gorgeous frontwomen that any rock n’ roll outfit would be lucky to have. (Win TIX below!)

Seriously, Speedy Ortiz rocks so hard, and Hop Along are no slobs themselves. I AM NOT MAKING ANY GUARANTEES. But there will be some really cool girls at this show, if not just on stage, in the audience. I’ll be screaming like one–I’m a cool girl, right? Hop Along and Speedy Ortiz are teaming up on this perfectly assembled indie rock galore tour that started out with opening dates for Dr. Dog. Come see these bands play The Social before they come back and play bigger, less intimate venues!
