TICKET GIVEAWAY: Finish Ticket & Vinyl Theatre | Thursday, February 18, 2016 | The Social, Orlando, FL

And then there were three. Vinyl Theatre posted on all their social media pages explaining to fans that bassist Josh Pothier would no longer be with the band. These changes will take effect immediately as they head out on the “Ones to Watch Tour” with Finish Ticket. They’ll be here on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at The Social sans one member. We have your chance to see the new lineup and all the changes this could bring.

On the heels of this announcement the guys also released a music video for “Shine On.” This single from Electrogram is an answer of sorts to the questions posed in the band’s previous video for “Gold.” The band’s remaining members, Keegan, Chris, and Nick, had this to say of the video,

We’ve been sort of biding our time waiting for ‘Shine On’ to come out and continue the story where it left off in ‘Gold.’ A lot of great theories have popped up from fans about the video for ‘Gold’ and what it means to us, where it draws parallels to our lives or the band; maybe even where it draws parallels to the music industry. We don’t want to divulge too much, but the video for ‘Shine On’ might be a good place for them to find answers.”

Pothier still makes an appearance in the video, and all of it ends in a musical cliffhanger with the boys right back where they started in the visuals for “Gold.” The band has been teasing us for a while now with talk of happenings on the upcoming tour. Setlists with new songs have been tweeted from the band’s account only making us wag our tongues more.

Vinyl Theatre is sharing the stage with California cool guys Finish Ticket on “The Ones To Watch Tour.” Both bands are by-products of a Twenty One Pilots tour so they’re no strangers to a crowd. Finish Ticket’s vibe is that of a CD you make for a road trip across the Western half of the States; their rock pop tracks the only relief from the Arizona dry heat. A Wombat-esque urgency flushes you forward down the unknown road, carefree. Legend has it, I’ve sent out many a text drooling over Brendan Hoye’s (vocals) spastically adorable stage presence. Looks of Dean, moves of Presley and Lazzara (combined!), Hoye is dizzying. The Social is the perfect stage to capture this mesmerizing performance.

Florida dates were not on the original listing of tour dates; thank thank goodness we made the list last minute. Could three be the magical number for the Vinyl guys? There’s only one way to find out and we’ve got your tickets to do so.

Finish ticket is worth such a listen. Great stage presence. Lead singer is drastically adorable.  Double vodka soda done.   ]
