Tesla was formed in 1981 in Sacramento, California. The good old days. They currently consist of Brian Wheat on bass, Frank Hannon on guitar, Jeff Keith on lead vocals, Troy Luccketta on drums, and Dave Rude on guitar. They quickly rose to fame with their hit album Mechanical Resonance in 1986, which featured the classic track “Modern Day Cowboy.” In 1989 they released The Great Radio Controversy, which included the hit singles “Love Song” and “The Way It Is.” Both albums were certified platinum in the United States. Since then, they have released numerous chart-topping albums such as “Psychotic Supper,” and “Bust a Nut.”

Tesla is known for their high-energy live performances, which are a true testament to their musical talent. And their sound isn’t just hair metal. That would be putting dear old Tesla in a box.
