The festival is hosted by one of the most ultimate jam bands of our time, The String Cheese Incident, and they are ready to claim their stake once again at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida on Halloween weekend. The official theme for the festival is  “Stringier Things” in celebration of vintage 1980’s. What will your supernatural horror / pop culture costume be? You gotta look fresh when the lineup looks this dope. And if you can get there early, there’s a HUGE pre-party going down on Thursday – tickets purchased separately – with Umphrey’s McGee (two sets), Greensky Bluegrass, and more. Marvel Years, Artifakts and Prophet Massive are just a few of the names on this year’s Silent Disco going on Thurs-Sat nights in Spirit Lake, and there are double the headphone inventory of year’s past. There will also be surprise late night bluegrass sets in Spirit Lake. And whatever you do, be sure to get your booty on down to the river and enjoy some sunny beach time. Check out my top ten acts to see below, as well as one of my best buddy’s top ten. 5 – Twiddle / The Werks (exploratory improv electric-fueled jams, hopefully late night)
6 – Passafire (afternoon punky reggae party, herbal remedies)
7 – The Claypool Lennon Delirium (Les returns to Hula, with Sean!)
8 – Snarky Puppy (the best damn jazz funk soul collective ensemble)
9 – Russo, Benevento, & Burbridge (super-trio only played once before at Peach Festival)
10 – Umphrey’s McGee (my shiz – progressive rock electronic funk jams, and lights)
