Sublime With Rome is hitting the road again this fall, visiting some cities that they couldn’t during their summer tour. This includes a stop in Orlando at Hard Rock Live on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Joining them on the tour are fellow reggae punkers, The Expendables.
It’s been a busy year for Eric Wilson (Bass), Josh Freese (Drums), and Rome Ramirez (Vocals/Guitar) as they have been relentlessly trekking all over the country, playing festivals and amphitheaters in support of their second album, Sirens. https://cuschoolsfoundation.org/case/essay-format-dmu/20/ presentation speech topic ideas best college essayВ hardbound thesis near me of mothers and others stories essays poems research persuasive paper https://fotofest.org/solving/edexcel-gcse-statistics-coursework-example/5/ the story of an eyewitness essay follow homework help physical science viagra in the uk essay requirements for university of michigan esl persuasive essay writers site thesis writing help uk https://heystamford.com/writing/dissertation-service/8/ enter site essay hook sentence ideas cialis professional pay by paypal a good personal statement will require at least one see url buying papers for essays buying essays online creative writing university south wales levitra kenova accutane eye side effects see https://cuschoolsfoundation.org/case/example-of-instruction-essay/20/ https://bmxunion.com/daily/essay-kaise-likhe-english-me/49/ short articleВ essay about healthy society https://www.mitforumcambridge.org/multiple/my-algebra-solver/2/ final reflection essay group formed to finance a project The band is even hitting the seas next year where they’re hosting their own concert cruise. “Light Up The Pacific” features Dirty Heads and other chill rock acts. The cruise will set sail from Long Beach and float down to Mexico.
It’s important to note that this Sirnes is the first album to include Freese on drums, following Bud Gaugh’s departure in 2011 (Bud was the OG drummer for Sublime). Here is the official music video for the first single from the album, “Wherever you go.”
For some new old stuff, check out this video featuring a live version of the classic “Santeria,” filmed during a break from the road when they headed over to Jam in the Van.
For me, Sublime is one of those bands that brings on some heavy nostalgia whenever I listen to them. With the addition of Rome, they keep the spirit of Bradley Nowell — the one and only — alive. I can’t help but think back to the mid and late 90s when Sublime was practically all I listened to in middle school and into high school. I think every word, bass line, guitar riff and drumroll is permanently imprinted on my brain.
Sublime will always be one of my favorite bands. The first time I saw them was with the reincarnation that is Sublime With Rome. It was at the 311 Pow Wow Festival in 2011 at the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Their electric performance left me speechless. If you weren’t there, I filmed the entire set (video playlist below). Enjoy!
I owe a lot to Sublime. There’s so many of their songs that I originally thought were Sublime songs, but as I broadened my musical taste and likings, I began to find out that these particular songs were actually cover songs from classic artists that had influenced Bradley and the band. One of those songs was the classic Grateful Dead song “Scarlet Begonias.” I wasn’t quite keen to the dead head scene when I was ten years old, so I can’t be blamed for not knowing this. It’s always a bit mindboggling whenever this realization happens and you think, “Wait a second… this isn’t one of their originals?! Aaaahhhh.”
Oh yeah, and The Expendables will be there too! Here’s one of my video clips of one of their more punky tunes “Corporate Cafeteria” from their 2011 Warped Tour show in Orlando.
