DRAKE AND KANYE WORKING ON A COLLABORATIVE ALBUM

First, swirling rumors. Then, a crytic billboard in L.A. that said “Calabasas is the new Abu Dhabi” featuring the G.O.O.D. Music and OVO logos. Now, confirmation from Mr. West in Vogue: he and Aubrey are indeed working on a dual album together. Could we be in for another Watch The Throne or What A Time To Be Alive? Is this a hip hop 1-percenter power grab? Keep paying attention.

PETE ROCK VS. LIL YACHTY, MUMBLE RAPPERS

Neither party has been shy about their attitude towards the other or their art in this dust up. Pete took to Instagram in a lengthy post about how he’s tired of certain rappers taking hip hop as a joke. While later, Lil Yachty responded to his Pete’s earlier disses with a simple “f*** you,” then thought better of it and said he wasn’t mad at Pete. Sadly, it looks different generations of artists won’t be getting along any time soon.

**DONALD GLOVER’S ATLANTA GETS RAVE REVIEWS**

The two-episode premiere of Glover’s Atlanta on FX has garnered nothing but praise from papers like The Washington Post and the L.A. Times, as well as from the hip hop community on social media. It has even been called one of the best new shows of the fall season. Do we have a comedic breakout hit on our hands? Only time will tell.

MAC MILLER FEAT. ARIANA GRANDE, “MY FAVORITE PART”

They’re the latest hip hop/pop couple to crash the blogs. And now Miller and Grande solidify their newfound love with the sugary-sweet single “My Favorite Part”. It’s kind of a departure for Easy Mac as he gets his croon on, but not unexpected. Have a listen to the new song in all its cuteness below.

DAME DASH CALLS JAY Z AND BEYONCE “COWARDS”

Dash is known for being outspoken. Now he takes aim at his former partner and his wife for not coming to the defense of Rachel Roy. Dash clapped hard at Jay Z and Beyonce for not dismissing rumors that Roy is the infamous “Becky with the good hair” in Bey’s “Sorry” hit of her album Lemonade. As a result, Dash believes Roy was mercilessly trolled all over the Internet. Pretty sad that Hov and Dame’s relationship has come to this.

TYGA AND MIGOS OFFICIALLY SIGNED TO G.O.O.D. MUSIC

Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music roster continues to get more and more formidable. Along with Desiigner, he’s now brought on Atlanta’s Migos and former Cash Money artist Tyga to his label. Yeezy announced the deals at the Highline Ballroom in New York. Looks like someone is doing all he can to corner the market on pop rap.
