Tampa’s own Set It Off are coming home…ish. State Theatre will welcome the pop-punk foursome and hometown heroes on October 6th on their “Something New Tour.” They’ve honed in on their sound with the latest single, “Upside Down.” Bright piano ushers you into the track with an upbeat take on all their years on the industry.

The band’s upcoming album of the same title, Upside Down, is due out the day after this show and you can bet it’s going to be a celebration of epic punk proportions. Set It Off signed to Equal Vision Records in 2011 and have been climbing up ever since. 2012’s Cinematics hit the Top 200 Billboard charts with hits like, “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead” and “Partners in Crime.”
Patent Pending and Up From Here are in support on this punky extravaganza, so show up early. I know, a truly arduous task for a true punk. It will be worth it. Both bands are the perfect compliment to Set It Off’s newer sweeping sound.
