American country pop singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson got his start in Union City, Tennessee — a city not far from the ever thriving country music hub, Nashville. Growing up, he says his mom was always listening to James Taylor and John Denver which inspired his taste in country music, while his father was a minister of music in the Baptist church. He has always had a knack for music which led him to grow with it throughout the years. By 2010, Dickerson graduated with his bachelor degree from Belmont University and signed with his first agency, Creative Artists Agency. One year later, Dickerson self-released his first extended play, Die to Live Again and went on tour as the head act for David Nail. He later toured with Canaan Smith, Thomas Rhett and Billy Curringtown throughout the next several years.

Russell’s biggest hit is his track entitled “Yours” – his second extended play by Dent Records. It was later released under Triple Tigers Records, his newly signed label. The song gained popularity for its slow melodic tune and lyrics about love that are catchy to sing along to. In an interview with Taste of Country, he says “I feel like songwriting is so instinctual” and this song is a perfect example of that. Dickerson married his wife Kailey in April of 2013 and is known to be a family man. He has a full love for his wife and it is apparent with his lyrics.. “thank god I’m yours….” The song landed on iTunes Best of 2015-year end list, TheKnot.com’s “Best Wedding Songs of 2016” (the acoustic version), was featured on Spotify’s Spotlight in 2015, premiered at No.1 on Billboard’s Heat Seeker chart and peaked at No. 5 on Top Country Album in 2017. Since the rising fame of his hit single, Dickerson has released two more albums including his latest release entitled “Russell Dickerson.”
