Herren grew up in Atlanta, GA on several instruments, sharpening his craft DJing at clubs, and eventually producing for rappers in the area.
Prefuse 73 was born and shortly after Vocal Studies + Uprock Narratives came out to change the way we would think of hip hop & production.
Herrens’ most recognized work under Prefuse, One Word Extinguisher, gave us the most prolific composite of earworm funk and manipulated beats to date.
