Just when we thought the hype for Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival couldn’t get bigger, they gave  us another string of announcements to add to the excitement! Get ready for the ultimate PowWow! — a live super-star mashup that might put your fantasy show line-up to shame.

Just look at these names slotted to collaborate on stage for the PowWOW:

  • Win Butler of ARCADE FIRE

  • John Oates (of HALL & OATES)

  • Miguel (R&B Legend)

  • Kamasi Washington

  • THE METERS’ George Porter, Jr. & Zigaboo Modiste

  • The Preservation Hall Jazz Band Horn Section

It’s the dream live collaboration, taking the best of so many genres and blending for a custom, once-in-a-lifetime performance. The geniuses behind “Wake Up” are working with the legendary performer of “You Make My Dreams” to produce an all-original show that will take the best of indie, pop, and funk to fuse together the most epic show.

There’s a string of surprise performers from throughout the festival that will likely show up for a song or two and we wouldn’t complain if the likes of Mumford & Sons or Kendrick Lamar joined to bring some special flavors to the show. GRAMMY winners and Hall of Fame-ers will collaborate to bring the most extravagant, creative performance to Florida’s largest outdoor festival.

Looking to explore away from the stage? Okeechobee debuts the Chobeewowbee Village, an arts village home to live art, holistic workshops, and non-stop dancing. If you’re ready to take a dip, splash on into Aquachobee, complete with a beach zone, international bands and djs, a ferris wheel, and fully loaded bar. Sounds like paradise, right?

When you’re done for the day, make your way to the Jungle 51, an all-night electronic dance space that takes the club outdoors. Performers include Legacy Detroit, Damian Lazarus, Anton Zap, and more. The stage and outdoor set are designed by Broadway’s finest, ready to whisk you off on the ultimate nightlife stage.
