New Alternative Music Festival
Two day festival. Bands without dozens of corporate sponsors and beer logos.

Convention Hall, Asbury Park, NJ

September 16 – 17, 2016

Music festivals have become the rabbit hole of a money suck and the millionth opportunity to show off hundreds of advertisements. The NAMF was conceived to spotlight the music and not the sponsors.

Great cross section of bands both known and unknowns. Highlights included The Screaming Females.

Way too small of a crowd. If people want new music they had better support new music.

The dust and mold in Convention Hall is a real example of how Asbury Park let this amazing venue fall apart. New hope exists as Asbury is becoming (once again) the place to be. I still miss Asbury Lanes though. I sneezed for three days.
