Neko Case is known for a genre bending musical sound with influences of Indie, Alternative, and Folk rock as well as extremely vivid and detailed metaphors spun into every word. With a career spanning over twenty years, Neko Case has famously collaborated with Canada’s The New Pornographers and Case/Lang/Veirs in addition to releasing many critically acclaimed solo albums. In 2006, the album Fox Confessor Brings The Flood, reached number 54 on the Billboard 200 chart and contained one of her most popular and autobiographical songs “Hold On, Hold On”. In 2009, the album Middle Cyclone was released to even more critical success, reaching number 3 on the Billboard album charts. In 2010 the album was Grammy nominated for Best Contemporary Folk Album, and in 2014 the album The Worse Things Get, the Harder I Fight, the Harder I Fight, the More I Love You was also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album.

Recently Case has released Wild Creatures, which is a retrospective album of re-recorded hits (and a few new gems) spanning over twenty-one years of solo work. One of the new songs on the album, “Oh Shadowless” is a fantastic song that closes out the album and feels like a soft lullaby gone wrong to end a remarkable album experience.
