NYC’s MisterWives combine solid, flowery pop vocals and a fun horn section for the perfect mix of indie pop that’s easy to adore (think Ellie Golding vocals meets Rubblebucket party horns). Every track on their new release and first full-length studio release, Our Own House, delivers earnest lyrics and substantial music that highlights the fun parts from many genres. The album also includes a sugary cover of Vance Joy’s “Riptide.”
