Wearing his heart on his sleeve, this pastor’s child brings the groove to the idea of “Trap House Jazz.” Masego will be performing live at Jannus Live, April 14th in St. Petersburg and the House of Blues in Orlando, April 15th. A Soundcloud freestyle, “Girls That Dance,” caught the attention of DJ Jazzy Jeff. Jazzy Jeff reached out, invited Masego over, and has been considered an Uncle ever since. Through his studies with Uncle Jeff, Masego was surrounded by artists and musicians he considered heroes. He went on to rub shoulders with Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Flying Lotus, Thundercat and many more. The song “Mystery Lady” featuring Don Toliver, from the 2020 album, Studying Abroad: Extended Stay, was nominated for a Grammy just last year.

Masego’s voice glides you through the rhythm and melody with a sultry inflection. From rapping, to serenading, his voice is that connecting element. The combination of Caribbean, Soul, Trap, and Jazz, with lyrics you can feel, and a smooth saxaphone to top, confirms this show should not be missed.

Masego will be visiting Florida on his “You Never Visit Me Tour.” His first show is Friday April 14th at Jannus Live, in the heart of Downtown St. Petersburg. The following evening Masego will perform at the beautiful House of Blues in Orlando Saturday April 15th.
