Alternative radio in the 90’s played a huge role in shaping my musical tastes and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Better Than Ezra were a staple of alternative radio in the 90’s. If you were to turn on the radio in the 90’s, odds were you would have heard one of Better Than Ezra’s many hits in no time. I can still remember waking up and hearing their single “Good” on the radio for the first time when I was eleven years old. I have been following the band ever since and over the past twenty two years I have had the privilege of seeing them perform live eight times. Kevin Griffin has been fronting Better Than Ezra for over twenty five years. He has released eight studios with the band and had numerous top ten singles like “In The Blood”, “A Lifetime” and “King of New Orleans”. In 2006, Kevin Griffin moved to Nashville and began a successful career writing songs for other artists like Howie Day, James Blunt and Sugarland. In 2014, he released his latest album with Better Than Ezra, All Together Now. Don’t miss your chance to see Kevin Griffin, this Friday at Dr. Phillips Center.
