St. Pete is ‘Hotting Up’!! | Iration w/ The Green, The Movement, & Hours Eastly | Coming to Jannus Live, St. Petersburg, Fl | Friday, October 16 & Saturday, October 17, 2015

Iration – The Rastafarian word for creation. In Rasta culture, the letter i is used to refer to god, and all people.

A coming together of all people and our creator seems like a lot to deal with in one night. The amount of spiritual energy and good vibes created by such a coalition cannot truly be experienced in such a short time. This is why Santa-Barbara-by-way-of-Hawaii reggae group Iration will be performing a chill-AF séance at Jannus Live twice this weekend, Friday and Saturday, October 16 and 17. And because all great gatherings attract musicians, The Green, The Movement, and Hours Eastly will be joining in on the fun.

Hot off the release of Hotting Up, Iration will certainly be the summer’s last stand as we fade into fall. Honestly, the only way this weekend could be better is if Iration was playing outside, right on the water. The ocean breeze will be making it’s way into Jannus Live and this lineup is the perfect soundtrack. Iration’s pop hooks are sure to have the crowd bobbing up and down like lures in the waves; that, or whatever else white people do when they lose give control of their bodies to the beat.

As should be expected, the brothers in The Green, The Movement, and Hours Eastly are right at home onstage with Iration. Each band brings their own particular twist to the chugging guitars and lax basslines associated with the reggae genre. An uninformed listener may shoehorn all of these acts together, saying something along the lines of, “All of this music sounds the same!” However, to the spiritually enlightened, to those who see past “genres,” to those who enjoy their fair share of the wacky ta-backy, Jannus Live will be the place of iration!
