SIGT Internship • 2024

Shows I Go To is on the hunt for our 2024 Interns. Pave the way and set the standard of badassery.

This is an opportunity to learn skills in the music business industry that’ll prepare you for your career and give you an abundance of transferable skills in multiple lines of business. Plus, you’ll get access to a ton of shows!

Must have experience with Photoshop/Lightroom, ability to work in fast-paced environments, willingness to learn, contribute, create compelling content, and collaborate with our team. Must be available Monday – Wednesday at minimum.

MUST LOVE MUSIC (no exceptions).

Deadline to apply: Monday, January 15th, 2024. Must be 18+ to apply.

SOCIAL MEDIA INTERN

Ideal candidate: Loves being on their phone. Loves going to shows. Knows how to capture great content. Is a proficient content editor. Is aware of social media trends and best practices. Has a wide knowledge base of music genres and artists. Is an excellent writer.

Some examples of duties:

Keeping IG Story Highlights Updated
Publishing new stories w/ giveaway content
Publishing giveaways to IG / Fb / X
IG: Post unique giveaways. Add songs where appropriate.
FB: Share link directed to showsigoto.com giveaway
X: Schedule weekly giveaways up through contest end date. Then schedule week-of post(s) with Ticket Links.
Publishing Presale Codes & Show Announcements
Create unique compelling content for multiple announcements at one venue or promoter. Schedule announces & presale content according to announce date timelines.
Keep Facebook events updated.
Hours ~30 hours per week /// 6 Months

WEB PUBLISHER

Ideal candidate: Has a wide knowledge base of music genres and artists. Is an excellent writer & researcher. Has experience with WordPress. Knows html & CSS. Able to edit graphics to fit IG story & web sizes. Very comfortable with Photoshop & Lightroom. Has experience as a photographer (knows what a good shot looks like). Is comfortable with Google Forms. Knows how to make a .GIF in Photoshop.

Edit & Upload Photo Galleries & Reviews (South FL & Main Site)
Write, Edit, & Publish Giveaways (South FL & Main Site)
Download & Resize approved graphics from partners & Upload/Organize in Google Drive
Keep Calendar Webpage updated (South FL & Main Site)
Keep Sidebars Updated (South FL & Main Site)
Create and maintain .GIF banners (South FL & Main Site)
Keep plugins and themes updated via WordPress (South FL & Main Site)
~30 hours per week /// 6 Months

CALENDAR EDITOR

Ideal candidate: Has a wide knowledge base of music genres and artists. Is comfortable with Adobe InDesign. Has been a Florida resident for 5+ years and knows their way around local & large music venues. Has excellent attention to detail. Has experience as a copy editor and/or fact checker.

Examples of duties:

Research all upcoming shows and festivals
List all shows in chronological date order using our Google Sheets format
Ensure door times are listed correctly
Ensure genre(s) of each artist are accurate
Ensure all available shows are correctly listed
Ensure “featured shows” are highlighted.
Maintain an accurate Venue Key each month.
Check email Inbox for any listing requests.
Transfer all data to Adobe InDesign and prepare PRINT calendars
Once PRINT is approved, begin designing social + web sizes.
Communicate with Social Media + Web Publisher Interns to ensure all content is released simultaneously.
