Terrifying funk from beyond the grave! Here Come The Mummies are cursed with a funk so strong, you’re going to need a tomato juice bath after their show at The Plaza Live in Orlando on Friday, October 9, 2015 (WIN TICKETS BELOW). But it will be such an awesome stank, you may never want to wash again. Doors at 8:00 pm, show at 9:00 pm. Get there early and you might see the band make their grand entrance from the front parking lot through the lobby and onto the stage. Be sure to stay late after the show and meet the entire band in the lobby.

I saw the Mummies the first time they came to The Plaza Live back in March 2012 and I wasn’t really sure what to expect. What I witnessed was one of the best lively funk performances from a “dead” band. I was also present at their return show to The Plaza in October 2013. Most recently they played Orlando at The Social earlier this year in February. Check out my six-video playlist below of the 2012 show at The Plaza.

Here’s one of those videos from the front of the crowd during the song “Pants,” one of their many sexual innuendo tunes. Other suggestive dong titles in their catalogue include “Dirty Minds,” “Freak Flag,” “Horizontal Mambo,” and “Petting Zoo.” Their songs tend to tell a salacious story of a tribe possessing the power to groove most righteously. Here’s one of their official music videos for their song “Chaperone” which is about two people wanting to lose the surrounding supervision and just be alone.

When Here Come The Mummies come to town, expect more than just a concert.  Their shows truly give a stellar display of musicianship coupled with fun dances and hilarious lyrics that leave absolutely no dull moments.
