Hatebreed’s seventh album, The Concrete Confessional, was released earlier this year in May and is their first release on Nuclear Blast Records. It is an aggressive thing to behold, with 13 songs spanning a run time of less than 35 minutes (only one song is longer than three minutes). The band consists of Jamey Jasta (Vocals), Frank Novinec (Guitar), Chris Beattie (Bass), Wayne Lozinak (Guitar), and Matt Byrne (Drums). When I listened to the new album, it was apparent that the band has grown and advanced as the music fused together brutally but flawlessly with ease.
Devildriver is fronted by Coal Chamber singer Dez Fafara. The band recently released their seventh album, Trust No One. With chugging riffs and ambient guitar tones, these metal dudes groove pretty hard while still incorporating melody and propelling you to uncontrollably headbang.
Devil You Know had their first-ever headlining run earlier this year on the “Make America Metal Again Tour.” The band consists of former Killswitch Engage frontman Howard Jones, Devolved drummer John Sankey, ex-Bleeding Through bassist Ryan Wombacher and former All Shall Perish guitarist Francesco Artusato. They do an awesome cover of the Rocky jam “Eye of the Tiger.”
