Eric is a Florida native from Boca Raton and one of my favorite new comedians rising up in comedy. This dude cracks me up. Chill stoner comedy with straight-up real talk and random awkwardness. Raw, rude, random, and ridiculous. Expect to be offended at some point and don’t be afraid to laugh your ass off. I can already smell the weird.

After working his way through the tough grind that is the stand-up comedy business, Eric was cast on ABC’s short-lived 2012 series Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23, and he was in the 2013 movie The Internship with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. I first stumbled upon his hilariousness in the FX series Man Seeking Woman. He plays Mike Scaggs, the cool, laid-back best friend of his mid-20’s, naïve, and soft-spoken buddy Josh Greenberg, played by Jay Baruchel. In the show, Josh finds himself in several surreal situations while trying to find love and a serious relationship. Mike has natural swagger with the ladies and is more of the single type, so Mike’s attempts to be Josh’s wingman only go so far and sometimes backfire, occasionally in Mike’s favor. The show was recently renewed for a 10-episode third season which will likely start up again in January 2017.

Eric is also the creator/host of The Eric Andre Show (Fridays at 12:00 AM on Adult Swim). In typical talk show form, celebrity guests come on the show for intriguing interviews and featured segments, albeit with random twists that sometimes leave the guest wondering just what the hell they got themselves into.

Somehow, Adult Swim succeeded in securing press passes to the Republic National Convention and sent Eric to Cleveland, OH where things got awkwardly interesting. The next week, Eric went near the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA, as they had their press passes revoked at the Republican National Convention thereby only certainly solidifying a definite denial in Philly.
