Thank You For Reading Issue #10
Our mission, the hippy sh!t, is to keep it positive, help our community grow stronger, and to love each other. We learned something special from Lou, a reminder — accept everyone. No matter how they express their art, or what kind of music they play — we’re in this together. This is the third issue we’ve published without a ton of shows, or a music calendar, or stacked concert giveaways. And you know what? We’re still having fun! In Issue #10 (yes, 10!) we expand our Brews I Go To column and hand over the reigns to Ashley Rawlings (@floridahopmama) on page #16–17. We take Uncle Lou to Leu Gardens for a high-fashion style photo shoot, right after the rain, on pages #6–9. Jessica Pawli shares her journey through 15+ years of the Orlando Music Scene (pg #10-11). We teach you how to make some quarantine art — DIY instructions on how to make a vinyl record wall for your home or office (pgs #18-19). We have photos of a show we DID go to on pg #12–13. We caught a live rap battle between Snoop Dogg and DMX (virtually) on pages #14–15. There’s a ton of good music to dive into, from Local Love (pg #25) and Songs I Groove To (pg #24) to national album reviews (pgs #26–31). Part IV of our comic, “SIGT & The Curse Of The Coronavirus,” is my favorite hand-drawn scene yet (can you tell where the inspiration for the robot came from?) on pages #35–39. Our resident astrologer, Rachael Welsh takes you through your cosmic journey with Showscopes (pgs #40-41). And check out the Places I Go To on pgs #42–43.
Sometimes I can’t believe I’m alive right now. Are the aliens coming? Am I a robot? All these questions to ponder and more as you experience this interactive art we’ve created for your enjoyment through these “unprecedented times.” lol. Yeah. Sh!t is getting weird!
Thanks for reading.
Love, your friend,
Mitch Foster
