The Dillinger Escape Plan released their final album, Dissociation, last month on October 14. They are currently on tour in support of that record and will soon be officially calling it quits. This may be your last chance to see them live. Guitarist Ben Weinman said in a press release, “This album, and the touring we have booked to support it, is a celebration of creation through deconstruction. We will all go into this journey fully embracing the power of unpredictability.”
O’Brother emerged out of Atlanta in the mid-2000s as talented instrumentalists and precocious writers of prolific positioned rock songs that were pioneering and powerful. Their new album, Endless Light, was released on March 25, 2016. Give it a listen, with your eyes closed and the lights off, and feel the universe is pulsating all around you.
The The New York-centered foursome Car Bomb just released their new album Meta on October 28. Not only was the record produced by Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier at his Silver Cord Studio in Brooklyn (co-owned by Car Bomb drummer Elliot Hoffman), it was mixed and mastered by Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Lamb Of God).
Cult Leader is a foursome from Salt Lake City that features three members of the defunct progressive grindcore group Gaza. Lightless Walk is their debut full-length album, released October 2015.
