TICKET GIVEAWAY: Citizen Cope (with Full Band) | Coming to House of Blues Orlando | Saturday, August 1, 2015

Years ago, my friend gave me a copy of the Citizen Cope’s self-titled first album on CD. I listened to that album for two straight weeks until it ended up getting lost (like most CDs usually do). I recently went back and listened to some of the stuff I have missed over the years and this guy has only improved with time.  I have seen the name Citizen Cope pop up on the concert listings numerous times over the years but have still yet to see him live. That will all change when I finally get to see him headlining House of Blues Orlando with a full band on Saturday, August 1, 2015 (Win tickets below).

For those of you not familiar with Citizen Cope, it is the stage name of singer/songwriter, and Memphis native, Clarence Greenwood. His music melds hip-hop, folk. and soul all into one unique ball of chill goodness. In 2010, he swore off major record labels for good and started his own called Rainwater Recordings. He has since released two albums on Rainwater Records, 2010’s The Rainwater LP, and 2012’s One Lovely Day. 

This summer, Citizen Cope will be opening for Counting Crows on their “Somewhere Under Wonderland Tour” which stops in Clearwater, Florida on July 31, 2015. In between dates with Counting Crows, Citizen Cope has been filling his calendar with some very special headlining dates with his full band and we are lucky enough to get one of those dates on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at House of Blues Orlando.
