In 1995, Chris Staples formed the band Twothirtyeight in Pensacola, Florida. The band soon became hometown favorites and signed to Takehold Records for the release of their first album, Missing You Dearly. The band went on to record two more albums before disbanding in 2003, Regulate the Chemicals in 2000, and You Should Be Living in 2002. The band reunited in 2012 for a few one off shows in Atlanta and their hometown of Pensacola for Deluna Fest (Check out “This Town Will Eat You” from Twothirtyeight below).
Chris Staples has went on to enjoy a successful solo career starting with two acoustic albums Panama and Burned and Blistered. In addition to his solo career, Chris Staples has also formed a separate project called Discover America. Expect to hear songs from all three projects when Chris Staples performs at Will’s Pub on Thursday, August 6, 2015 (Win tickets below).
Main tour support comes from Seattle’s Lemolo, a sweet dream of pop rock that’s sure to get you groovin. Just close your eyes and check out her hypotonic tune, “Open Air.”
