Jenn Ross, Staff Photographer:
I can’t tell you when I first fell in love with music because I was born into it, in Nashville, TN (and no, I don’t sing). Both of my parents were, and still are musicians, and my Dad drove a tour bus for many famous country stars back then and we spent many hours on the road and in studios with various bands.
It wasn’t until I was 15 that I’d tried all the instruments I thought I could play, and failed, that I took my 35mm and got press access to my first festival. I feel so old saying, “Hey now, I shot my first show on film and developed it myself!”
In short, I F**KING LOVE MUSIC. I have never found a way around that, and have never stopped trying to make my love of that and my love of photography form a permanent relationship.
