Bring Me The Horizon Ticket Giveaway Orlando

TICKET GIVEAWAY: Bring Me The Horizon w/ Issues and Pvris| Coming to Hard Rock Live Orlando | Thursday, October 1, 2015

by • September 28, 2015

Proving themselves to be one of the most interesting and diverse bands out there, Bring Me The Horizon are masters of an art only a few, such as David Bowie, are capable of. From starting out as a death metal band, and slowly transitioning into the amalgamation of music that they are today, Oli Sykes and company have shown that they can completely change their sound for each of their albums, and it’s amazing every time. With their newest record, That’s The Spirit out September 11 2015, in tow, and a tour with Issues and Pvris about to start, Bring Me The Horizon are getting ready to show the rock world what it really can do!

Bring Me The Horizon started out in Sheffield, Yorkshire, in 2002, and were able to release the death-core inspired This Is What The Edge of Your Seat Was Made For in 2004, along with Count Your Blessings in 2006. After touring for a little while, the band went back into the studio to record Suicide Season. This proved to be a turning point for the band, as they began to experiment with a more metal-core sound, along with electronic elements. The album was a hit, and the band went on tour for two years.

After the departure of one of their guitarists and the hiring of Jona Weinhofen, of Bleeding Through and I Killed The Prom Queen, the band came out with their biggest hit album, There Is A Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is A Heaven, Let’s Keep It A Secret. It was another metalcore album, but the band included a lot of different musical elements, including electronica, classic rock, pop, classical, psychedelia, and more.

Touring continued, and the band got ready for its most experimental album yet, 2013’s Sempiternal. One of this writer’s favorite albums of the year, Sempiternal took Bring Me The Horizon’s game to another level, with the inclusions of more electronica, pop, and classical, but also, the use of more atmospheric metal, which gave the album an ethereal sound, and really made it stand out in some of the best ways. BMTH’s new album, That’s The Spirit has the makings to be a real game changer, and I hope a lot of people enjoy the album as much as I do.

Bring Me The Horizon has done so much in such a short amount of time, and took a genre and decided to make it their own. I salute them for rolling the die on how they decide what to do with their sound, and I will definitely continue to follow them for years to come. Hopefully I will be able to see you with me at their first show on the tour at  Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL on October 1st (WIN TICKETS BELOW)!
