Are you looking for a legit metal show to go to this week? Look no further because Black Tusk, from Savannah, Georgia. They will be melting faces with their unique brand of “swamp metal” at Will’s Pub on Thursday, July 2 (Win tickets below). These guys have released four full length albums since forming in 2005. Their most recent EP, Vulture’s Eye, was released in 2014 (Check out one of their newest videos below).

Black Tusk suffered a great tragedy in November of last year when their founding bassist Jonathan Athon was killed in a motorcycle accident right before they were set to go on tour with Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society. The rest of the band powered through their loss, and continued on the tour with Corey Barhorst filling in on the bass. They were able to finish their latest album before Athon passed away but it has still yet to be released (Check out Black Tusk performing “Iron Giants” live below).

Opening support comes from all around Florida. Meatwound from Tampa, Bhavachakra from Orlando, and our friends, The Glorious Rebellion from Orlando/Ocala.
