Hailing from Brooklyn, Beach Fossils has been Dustin Payseur’s main project since 2009. Mashing up lo-fi sensibilities into a post-punk dream, their songs sound ethereal, yet grounded; airy, yet personal. My first thought upon listening was Joy Division in a fever dream having an existential crisis. I was immediately hooked. I ended up jamming through two hours straight and loved every minute. Some of the favorites I really dug:

Also starting in 2009, Wild Nothing comes from just south of Beach Fossils down in Blacksburg, Virginia. It is the brainchild of Jack Tatum, with some of the prettiest musical stylings I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. They initially hit the scene with a hit cover of Kate Bush’s “Cloudbusting,” and with dreamy shoegazy chill-pop sound and 4 full length albums, Wild Nothing continue to show that he will continue to be a leader in the indie rock scene.

Opening for these folks is Hannah Jadagu of Mesquite, Texas. Fresh on the scene, this performer is creating some fresh sounding dream pop that is sure to get the swaying, so make sure you come out early and stay all night, as this show should be absolutely divine!
