TICKET GIVEAWAY: BADFISH w/ Kash’d Out (Mar 05 at HOB Orlando)

“Tell me, are you a bad fish too?” Celebrating their 20 years together tributing the great Sublime, Badfish is coming to Orlando to play the House of Blues in what promises to be an evening of escapism and nostalgia, with great vibes and just a lot of fantastic music (GET TICKETS HERE!).

Wow, 20 years! Badfish is named after the Sublime song off the 40oz. to Freedom album, and initially started up in Rhode Island, but their popularity and talent emulating the original band helped them take off, with many national tours. They became the go-to band to check out Sublime’s music before the actual band reformed (kinda) with Rome, after the tragic passing of original singer, Bradley Nowell (RIP).

Now, I’ve had the chance to see Badfish one time before and I do have to say it was pretty damn close to what I imagined Sublime sounding like back in the 1990s. They are definitely a premier tribute band in that they truly capture the essence of the band they are paying tribute to. I haven’t seen them in a few years, so I don’t know if they still play the same set that they used to or if they incorporate some of the newer songs that Sublime with Rome have been putting out. But if they are how I remember, then you will probably get swept up in the nostalgia, and lose yourself in the sublime music.

Opening the show are Orlando hometown heroes, Kash’d Out. These local boys represent some of the more laid-back reggae bands that are sweeping the scene. With multi-guitar harmonies and a nice smooth flow, these guys are worth getting to the show early for! They just signed to Pepper’s Yesod Williams’ label, LAW Records!
