Bio: Once upon a weird time Eric Haase had a career as a professional drummer & recording artist. He was signed to development/recording deals with Capitol, Sony, & Interscope before bandmates blew everything with epic crash-burn, I was almost-a-rockstar style. Eric played in alternative rock, industrial-Goth, funk, punk, electro rock, psychedelic & slacker rock bands including Manchild, Liquid Funk, Mediawhore, Glitter Guns, Auditorium, The Seahorse Orchestra, Slow Changes, Vehicle & etc.
Eric decided to take control of his weird life and rebut drummer jokes rather than be the punch-line in them by returning to one of his first loves: Writing/journalism. Holder of a double major in screenwriting/psychology & philosophy minor from U of Miami, Eric has penned the award winning, interactive, ‘Hyper-Reality’ novel “Apocalypse Near” and recently completed his second novel “Unawares”, a paranormal romance/conspiracy theory novel written in iambic pentameter in the rhyme scheme of a magic spell… The book is basically a hundred thousand word crossword puzzle. What this means is that Eric may be nuts & reading his work may make you nuts too, but this is his intent. Interesting side note: Eric was once clinically dead.
