A Date With Buddy Guy

There is tea and tissues on his amp. He’s 82 but still pushes through no matter he’s sick tonight. I’m on a the first date I’ve been on in a long while. I’ve never experienced a legendary performance from Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Buddy Guy.

They don’t play this kind of blues in the morning on your radio, unless you have satellite. And if you don’t like the blues, you in the wrong fucking house tonight.”

No offense, but watching local and regional bands, you often forget what a true master musician sounds like. Each player performing with Buddy Guy is the top 1% of their class. I’ve never heard anyone play the guitar like Buddy Guy. This is the best show I’ve been to all year and the best guitar performance I’ve ever personally experienced.
