Three brothers (including the bassist of The Transplants) + Aimee Allen, unite strong for The Interrupters second studio album, Say It Loud, produced by Tim Armstrong from Rancid at Travis Barkerās Studio. The Interrupters create “modernized 2-Tone-tinged, guitar-fueled, melody-heavy sound with lyrics that confront everything from social control and self-empowerment to domestic violence and the media circus surrounding the next presidential election.” Fucking fitting, right?

Tim Armstrong is 100% behind The Interrupters, which automatically makes me look deeper. There’s a brilliant layer of ska under the upbeat, fist-pumping and it sounds like a whiskey-fueled, PBR slinging good time.
Tour support comes from Cali-punks, Bad Cop Bad Cop, who played FEST 14 and we featured them in our “Fest Femmes” piece. Amanda says, “Bad Cop Bad Cop is the anthem of tough punk girls who donāt take crap” and “Bad Cop Bad Cop is not afraid to kick your ass and remind you that you deserve better in life, all in one song.” Sounds like the perfect compliment to The Interrupters!
