I have been waiting well over a decade to finally see Saosin with Anthony Green (It’s all your fault Dave 😉 ). I’m more than ecstatic for this show! I nerded out and bought a VIP bundle — I’m going a little hardcore for this. How could I not?! Who knows what’s going to happen next. I know everyone has other things going on in their lives, so anything is possible. It saddens me though that Justin [Shekoski] is not part of this anymore. *sad panda * Much love and respect to Justin, The Used, and all his future endeavors.

On a more positive note, I’m psyched the band signed with Epitaph for this album.  It seems like a great fit. You really can’t go wrong when you have some of the greatest bands on your label (Alkaline, Dropkick, Weezer). I’ve been following Anthony and the band for quite a bit now, and I don’t think I’ve been this excited over new music from an act before. Ok partial lie, there’s Blink-182 who I’ve been in love with since I was in middle school, and my biased love for TBS and BN. Anyway, as the announcement was made about signing with Epitaph, the LP3 teaser was released. 3o glorious seconds of the new material. Such an orgasm to my ears. I’m 99.9999% sure the last 13 years have been worth the wait.

And according to Beau [Burchell], it’s a mid-May release. They will also be playing some of it on this tour. I can’t wait to hear and see all the riffage in person!!

Young and Heartless was announced as their support. And more recently, a post-hardcore local Tampa act, LIMBS,  has been added to the short tour.

I don’t know about you, but I am counting down the days until Wednesday, March 23, 2016. You know where I’ll be; downtown at The Beacham.

*Update:* The album has been officially called Along the Shadow and is out May 20, 2016. It’s available for pre-order (2 different vinyls, dici-pack CD, iTunes)! The first single off of it is “The Silver String.” Below is a fan recording of the song from the Silver Springs, MD show.
