The Summer of ’99 tour brought an unforgettable night of rock nostalgia and modern energy to the Kia Center. Featuring Creed, 3 Doors Down, and Mammoth WVH, the lineup delivered a diverse mix of throwback anthems and fresh rock power that kept the crowd engaged from start to finish.
Mammoth WVH opened the evening with an electrifying performance. Frontman Wolfgang Van Halen showcased his undeniable talent, seamlessly transitioning between high-energy riffs and melodic hooks. Songs like “Don’t Back Down” and “Another Celebration at the End of the World” had the audience on their feet, headbanging along to every beat. Wolfgang’s stage presence and musicianship proved why Mammoth WVH is one of today’s most exciting bands to watch. Their set was a dynamic reminder that rock’s future is in capable hands.
Next up, 3 Doors Down took the stage with their signature blend of heartfelt ballads and radio-ready rock hits. While their setlist leaned heavily on classics like “Kryptonite” and “Here Without You,” a lengthy gospel-inspired speech mid-show slightly disrupted the momentum. Despite the detour, the band’s delivery of fan favorites brought the crowd back into the moment, singing along passionately.
Finally, Creed closed the night with a triumphant return to the stage, immersing the audience in the nostalgic sounds of the late ’90s and early 2000s. Scott Stapp’s powerful vocals soared during iconic tracks like “Higher” and “My Sacrifice,” evoking waves of emotion and memories. The band’s chemistry was palpable, and their performance was a reminder of why they dominated rock charts during their heyday.
The Summer of ’99 tour was a celebration of rock’s enduring legacy, blending past and present for a night that fans won’t soon forget. Each act brought something unique to the stage, making it a standout experience for all in attendance.
