Jannus is an open air venue boasting a giant stage nestled in a downtown courtyard. Patrons can enjoy multiple viewing levels, food options, in addition to VIP balconies and suites. Florida is so fortunate to have one of the nation’s premier bluegrass bands bringing their honey dripping sound to St. Pete, FL.

But wait, don’t put these guys in a bluegrass box just yet. “We’re existing in a few different places at once: we’re a bluegrass band and a rock band, we’re song-driven and interested in extended improvisation” shares Anders Beck (dobro) to NPR. His band may play acoustic instruments but they still do it in a way that puts on a rockin’ good show! During this irritating pandemic, Greensky has continued to produce music for their fans in the face of adversity with eight live offerings over the past couple of years.

Hailing from Kalamazoo, MI, Greensky Bluegrass is on tour supporting their latest album, Stress Dreams, which dropped in January. The album is filled with gems but it’s best song might just be “Stress Dreams.” This title track features a dreamy solo from guest pianist Holly Bowling highlighting the somber song about missing the mark. “New And Improved” also caught my attention as an upbeat sing-along written by guitarist Dave Bruzza. The music on this new record feels like it comes from a mature but painful place. This album is simply beautiful and is worth checking out live!
