Colony House Band Tickets Orlando 2023

Colony House is a four piece indie rock band that originated from Franklin, Tennessee in 2009. The band is composed of members Caleb Chapman, his brother Will Chapman, Scott Mills and Parke Cottrell. They derived as a group under the name, Caleb, but later changed their name to Colony House in 2013 based on a humble apartment complex on 11th Ave of downtown Franklin which has been home to all of them one time or another. As they honor the name, they take “home” with them everywhere they go. That is just part of their love and aesthetic the band shares with the rest of the world.

They carry their own unique sound they like to identify as “landlocked surf rock.” The boys’ music sounds of innocent heart-felt indie mixed alongside surf-rock and a side of nostalgia.

Speaking of nostalgia, their love for Franklin shines through their latest album, Cannonballers, with lyrics that revisit old memories, capturing the feel of seasons changing, and evoke sentimental upbringings associated with past relationships and places that have an emotional hold on them. When writing their album, Caleb Chapman says, “I think I was falling back in love with Tennessee..” It is a mirror of what has made them who they are while simultaneously encapsulating their alter ego. A yin and yang of slow open roads and the daredevils daring to take the risk to speed down them.

Since 2009, Colony House has self-released three EPs before releasing their debut album, When I Was Younger. Their hit single, “Silhouettes” placed #1 on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation Radio Station in 2014. Following their debut, the band released Only the Lonely, Leave What’s Lost Behind, and that leads us to their latest project, The Cannonballers.

They have been a part of several festival lineups including Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits, Firefly Festival, Wonder Bus, Lollapalooza and have played for CONAN, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and more. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Caleb states that “…we care mostly about our music being an honest conversation between us and the audience.” With an authenticity and reciprocity such as this, there’s no doubt this band is going blow your mind. Come and see Colony House perform live at House of Blues Orlando on February 23. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the show starts at 8:00 PM. They will be accompanied by Little Image, another must see indie rock group. Enter the giveaway below or buy tickets now! GET TICKETS HERE!
